Hi, I'm Sarah
My story isn’t just about building a successful business; it’s about creating a platform where others feel seen, heard, and valued.
From launching the Let’s Talk Supply Chain™ and Women in Supply Chain™ podcast series to founding the Blended Pledge initiative — a nonprofit that covers travels expenses so underrepresented voices can say “yes” to speaking engagements — my mission has always been about more than logistics.
It’s about self-worth. It’s about helping others recognize their value and embrace the confidence to step into their voice.
My Story
In 2017, my life was turned upside down. My family’s freight business closed, and I found myself out of a job — on unemployment — on my 37th birthday. To say it rocked my world is an understatement. But that moment also became a turning point.
Just three months before, I’d started a podcast on supply chain. With nothing to lose, I took a leap of faith, investing everything I had into this tiny passion project.
Fast forward to today: I’m the proud founder and host of Let’s Talk Supply Chain™ — ranked among the top 1% of podcasts worldwide.
I’m here to remind you that setbacks can lead to incredible opportunities, and with boldness, resilience, and a little bit of faith, you can create something extraordinary (even from life’s hardest moments).
Many of us face these earth-shattering moments, when everything is suddenly turned on its head...it's in these moments that we learn who we really are.

How I Got Here...
- 1996
At 16, I began working at my family’s freight business filing papers and answering phones.
- 2008
After 8 years of working in operations at the family business, I transitioned to a sales and marketing role.
- May 2017
To help tell my family’s entrepreneur story, I started a podcast called 2 Babes Talk Supply Chain.
- November 2017
My family made the incredibly hard decision to close the business – I lost my job and had to go on unemployment.
- April 2018
After a year of struggling to land interviews and working odd jobs, I decided to go all in on the podcast – within one week I rebranded it to Let’s Talk Supply Chain.
- July 2019
The podcast was becoming too big to manage on my own – hired my first freelancer and we hit 1,200 followers on LinkedIn.
- may 2020
Live streamed the first episode of my weekly YouTube show Thoughts & Coffee.
- Fall 2021
Released the first issue of my monthly LinkedIn newsletter; launched a LinkedIn Learning course on the Fundamentals of Sustainable Supply Chains.
- August 2022
Awarded the first grant through the Blended Pledge initiative, a nonprofit I started in 2020, to help fund travel costs so more underrepresented voices can say “yes” to speaking engagements.
- september 2023
Created the Secret Society of Supply Chain – an online community for supply chain professionals to connect, learn and grow.
- November 2024
Signed a book deal with Scribe Media so I can turn my story into actual pages.
- Today
I’m honored to have 14 incredible people working behind the scenes at Let’s Talk Supply Chain and 20 dedicated volunteers supporting the Blended Pledge initiative.
One thing I've learned is to embrace the messy journey, because the best paths are never straight!

Fun fact: I’m a big advocate for protecting our planet.
So it killed me to find out the majority of greenhouse gas emissions come from supply chains. That means we, as supply chain professionals, have an opportunity (and responsibility) to help achieve environmental sustainability.
In my Fundamentals of Sustainable Supply Chains LinkedIn course, I break down practical steps for building a sustainability plan that works. From real-world examples to case studies, I’ll show you how small changes can create a big impact — and not just for the planet, but for your business too.
